Watch this instructional video step-by-step guidance on signing up and integrating your data sources with MarginDriver.
STEP 2: GET YOUR ORDER DATA INTO MARGINDRIVER
During signup, you either chose to import your order data for each sales channel to MarginDriver via an API integration or via flat file uploads. Depending on which method you chose for each sales channel, you will either need to wait 24 hours for the data to load or you can begin file upload immediately.
API Integration Sales Channels
It takes up to 24 hours after you complete the free trial signup for your data to be loaded into the MarginDriver database.
You will know the process is complete when your sales channels appear in the Order Site Name dropdown on the Settings > Sales Channels and Integrations page. As soon as the channels appear there you can customize your settings for each channel according to the instructions in Step 2.
Flat File Upload Sales Channels
Data uploads via flat file can begin immediately after you finish the free trial signup.
Depending on the size of the upload file(s), it can take up to 15-20 minutes for a file to finish processing.
You will know the process is complete when your sales channels appear in the Order Site Name dropdown on the Settings > Sales Channels and Integrations page. As soon as the channels appear there you can customize your settings for each channel according to the instructions in Step 2.
STEP 3: SALES CHANNEL SETUP
Sales channel setup can begin as soon as your sales channels appear in the Order Site Name dropdown on the Settings > Sales Channels and Integrations page - up to 24 hours after completion of the free trial signup.

It takes up to 24 hours for your data to aggregate into the appropriate sales channels. Once that process is complete, your dashboards and reports will be populated with your company's data.
STEP 6: PRODUCT AND SHIPPING DATA
In order for the MarginDriver reports to be truly useful, you need to ensure that you are importing all of the necessary data points, including product and shipping costs.
Product costs can be pulled programmatically via an integration with either your order or inventory data sources. If you did not perform integrations with these sources for all of your sales channels, you can use the flat file upload.
Product costs can be included in flat file uploads in either the Generic Order File Upload or Generic Product File Upload. The field name is Product Cost Per Unit.
Shipping Costs (the seller's cost to ship the product to the customer)
Shipping costs can be pulled programmatically via an integration with your shipping data source(s). If you did not perform integrations with these source(s) for all for your sales channels, you can use the flat file upload.
Shipping costs can be uploaded using the Generic Shipping File Upload. The field name is Shipping Cost.
