Sales Channels and Integrations

Sales Channels and Integrations

Sales Channels and Integrations is where MarginDriver users add and configure all of their sales channels and data sources. This step must be completed after the user's MarginDriver account is connected to their order management system. Please allow 24 hours after your initial account creation for your data to load before beginning your sales channel setup. When adding new sales channels be sure to review and complete all applicable settings.

Status

  1. Sales Channel Status is determined automatically by the dates the user sets for the Effective and Ineffective Dates. If the current date falls between the Effective Date and the Ineffective Date or if no Ineffective Date has been set, the channel status will be set to Active. If the current date is later than the Ineffective Date, the status will be set to Inactive.

Sales Channel Name

  1. The user enters a custom name that they would like to appear in all reports on the MarginDriver service.

Order Site Name

  1. The sales channel name as it appears in the user's order management system. This value is chosen from a dropdown menu of the available sales channels found in the order management system.

Order Site Profile

  1. The sales channel identification number used by the order management system. In ChannelAdvisor, this value can be found by visiting the Overview page for each sales channel and viewing the page URL. The Order Site Profile number is a numerical value immediately following the characters apid=.

Originating Marketplace

  1. This is a binary choice between Amazon and Other. MarginDriver provides additional data and features for Amazon sales channels. Designating your Amazon sales channels as such here will instruct MarginDriver to retrieve the necessary additional information directly from your Amazon account(s).

Currency

  1. The transaction currency of the orders in this sales channel. This is the currency used by the marketplace or shopping cart where the transaction occurred and the currency within the order management system.

Convert Product Costs to Display Currency

  1. Check this box if your product costs on for this sales channel are held in a currency other than the display currency. If checked, MarginDriver will convert the product costs for these orders from the sales channel currency to the display currency.

Fulfillment Model
  1. This is a binary choice between Fulfillment-by-Merchant (FBM) and Fulfillment-by-Amazon (FBA). If you are fulfilling orders via FBM and FBA on the same sales channel, you should create two separate sales channels within MarginDriver. All values will be the same except for Sales Channel Name and Fulfillment Model. Be sure to provide a unique Sales Channel Name and stipulate the appropriate fulfillment model for each channel.

Group in Other

  1. This checkbox option allows users to group certain channels into an Other bucket in the MarginDriver report displays. This is a useful tool if the user would like to filter out the results from certain sales channels because they are either temporarily inactive, low volume or otherwise not of interest to the user.

Effective Date

  1. The date that a sales channel begins being Active for MarginDriver purposes. The date that orders begin being imported into MarginDriver from the order management system.

Ineffective Date

The date that a sales channel begins being Inactive for MarginDriver purposes. The date that orders stop being imported into MarginDriver from the order management system.

PLEASE NOTE: Settings updates do not take effect immediately and will take up to 24 hours to apply to all orders.
